Mountain Scholar provides long-term preservation and access services for the intellectual and creative output of the University’s academic, research, and administrative communities. This includes archival maintenance of official organizational records and publications of the University.

Mountain Scholar aims to capture emerging unpublished scholarship and creative works of CSU authors/creators and to preserve and disseminate previously published works in a manner consistent with copyright law.

Author/creator submissions to Mountain Scholar may include works including but not limited to conference papers and presentations, working papers, white papers, technical reports, awarded student research, musical compositions, art, performances, books, and journal articles.

In addition to the works of individual CSU authors/creators, Mountain Scholar hosts select archival materials, generated by CSU entities such as colleges and departments, that document the history and intellectual life of CSU. The repository also contains digital collections created from the Libraries’ archival holdings to support teaching and research.
