Interlibrary Loan is a free service to CSU students, faculty and staff that works cooperatively with other libraries at the local, national and international level to help borrow and lend books, articles and other materials promptly, efficiently and cost-effectively.

ARTICLES 

Articles are always delivered as digital files to your ILLiad account and generally arrive within 24 hours.

You will be notified by email that your article has been uploaded to your ILLiad account and that it is available for viewing, downloading and printing.

If you have any problems accessing an article once it’s been uploaded, please contact us.

BOOKS

Books requested via ILLiad typically arrive within a week to ten days.

You will be notified by email when your book arrives.

Loan periods are set by the lending library and can vary from 6 to 12 weeks. CSU Libraries does not renew ILL materials, however, you may submit another request near the end of your original loan period, and we will be happy to obtain another copy for you.

WHERE CAN I PICKUP MY BOOKS?

You may pick up your Interlibrary Loan / Prospector books at the Library Services Desk in Morgan Library or at the Vet Hospital Library Desk. 

If you live outside of Fort Collins, you may request that books be mailed to an address you choose.

Staff and Faculty may have their materials mailed to their campus department. Please ensure that a correct 4-digit campus mailing code is provided in the address field of your ILLiad record, along with your department name.

HOW DO I RETURN MY ILL MATERIALS

Interlibrary Loan books may be dropped off at:

• Morgan Library Services Desk
• A book drop near either the North or South side of Morgan Library
• Interlibrary Loan / Resource Sharing office, Room 210 of Morgan Library
• Vet Hospital Library Desk
