Water Tables 2012

Join us for the seventh year of Water Tables, the annual fundraiser supporting the Water Resources Archive on Saturday, February 18 at Colorado State University.

You won’t want to miss this evening of dinner and conversation with experts on Western water. This year’s theme, “Celebrating Organizations that Shape Western Water” promises to be livelier than ever. The event starts at 5 p.m. with a reception and tours of the Archive at Morgan Library before moving to the Lory Student Center main ballroom for dinner.

You can choose to sit with one of 24 table hosts who will hold discussions during dinner on various aspects of the rich history of water organizations in the West, and the critical role they play in determining the future of water. Archival materials on display during the reception will illuminate some of the history behind the topic.

In 2012, Water Tables, along with the whole state of Colorado, is celebrating the Year of Water. This statewide celebration of water recognizes the 75th anniversaries of several water organizations. Water Tables is extending that celebration to western water organizations broadly, recognizing the roles they play in shaping our past, present, and future. Each table host will lead an engaging discussion focused on stories about the organization they represent, with a look at its history, activities, and future outlook.

Water Tables 2012 provides a unique opportunity to mingle with this special group representing diverse perspectives.
