Nick Arvin's recent novel, Articles of War, has won wide acclaim and several awards, including the Boyd Award from the American Library Association, the Rosenthal Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and the Colorado Book Award.
He is also the author of a collection of stories titled In the Electric Eden. His work has appeared in The New Yorker, and he has been awarded a Michener Fellowship and an Isherwood Foundation Fellowship.Nick studied mechanical engineering at the University of Michigan and Stanford and worked in product development at Ford Motor Companybefore leaving to attend the Iowa Writers' Workshop. He now lives in Denver where he continues to work in engineering while he pursues his writing.
