Conventions

Annual conventions of the Colorado Farmers Union (which became the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union in 1943) were held in Denver, Colorado until John Stencel was elected RMFU president in 1970. After that year, convention locations have alternated between Denver and Cheyenne, Wyoming. The Shirley Savoy Hotel served as the location for many of the earlier Denver conventions.

One highlight of each annual convention is the Torchbearers ceremony, which honors graduating high school seniors who have completed five years of work in Farmers Union educational activities.
