Help improve Electronic Reserves

Faculty, instructors, and students are invited to take part in an online assessment to determine Electronic Reserves’ user-friendliness and effectiveness. As a participant, you will be asked to complete an anonymous online survey, lasting two weeks containing minimal questions regarding Electronic Reserves.

There are no known risks or discomforts resulting from the assessment. It is not possible to identify all potential risks in research procedures, but the researcher has taken reasonable safeguards to minimize any known and potential, but unknown, risks. There are no known benefits for the

participants, but hopefully the assessment will provide Electronic Reserves with invaluable information in order to improve upon the existing service.

Confidentiality will be maintained and Morgan Library is making every possible effort to reduce risks and stress on the participants’ behalf. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your rights as a volunteer in this research, please contact Janell Barker, Coordinator Research Integrity and Compliance Review Office, at 970-491-1655. Please print off a copy of this cover letter for your information.

Taking part in the survey is a one-time, voluntary event. There are no costs to participate. If you decide to participate, you may stop participating at any time without penalty or loss of benefits to which you are otherwise entitled. We will keep private all research records, to the extent allowed by law. Your responses will be combined with the responses from other participants in the study. The results of the study will be shared with the library profession.

Before you decide whether to accept this invitation to take part in the study, please ask any questions that might come to mind now.  Later, if you have questions about the study, you can contact the investigator, Karen Bradley at (970) 491-1374.
