Remote Computer Access

Use the instructions below to connect to a Morgan Library Computer Lab computer. If you have any difficulties, please email help@colostate.edu or call 970-491-7276.

From a Windows Computer

  1. Make sure that you have configured DUO Two Factor Authentication.
    Do you need assistance setting up DUO?
  2. Launch Pulse Secure and connect.
    Do you need assistance setting up Pulse Secure?
  3. Open a web browser and navigate to https://remoteaccess.labstats.com/colorado-state-university-libraries
  4. Select a lab computer and click “Connect.”
  5. Click on the “Download” button.

  1. Click on the “Save” button.
  2. Open the file from the lower bar and click “Open.”
  3. Click “Connect” when asked about the publisher of the remote connection.
  1. Sign in with your COLOSTATE\eID Name and your CSU eID password. Note: This is the same username and password you use to sign in to the labs regularly, but you must add “COLOSTATE\” in front of your eID Name.
  2. Click “Yes” when asked if you would like to connect anyway.

Congratulations! You are now connected to a lab computer!

When you are done you must sign off, do not just close your remote desktop window!!!

  • Closing your Remote Desktop Window will not sign you off of the computer and will prevent another user from logging in after you! You must click the start button in the lower left corner, then click the User icon, and then click “Sign Out” rather than just clicking on the X in the Remote Desktop window.

From a Mac Computer

  1. Make sure that you have Microsoft Remote Desktop installed. You can download this app from the Mac App Store.
  2. Make sure that you have configured DUO Two Factor Authentication.
    Do you need assistance setting up DUO?
  3. Launch Pulse Secure and connect.
    Do you need assistance setting up Pulse Secure?
  4. Install Microsoft Remote Desktop 10 for Mac.
    -This is the program that allows you to remotely connect to the Morgan Lab Computers.
    -You do not need to set this program up, just have it installed.
  5. Open a web browser and navigate to https://remoteaccess.labstats.com/colorado-state-university-libraries
  6. Select a lab computer and click “Connect.”
  7. Click Download and then launch the file. This will automatically launch the Remote Desktop Connection for the specified computer.
  1. You should be presented with a screen similar to the following. The profile should default to the Microsoft Remote Desktop app (if it doesn’t, choose “open with” and then find “Microsoft Remote Desktop”). Click OK.
