Information for Distance Users
CSU Online & Distance Learning

Getting Started

The Libraries' catalog Sage is available to everyone on or off campus. However, off-campus access to databases and electronic journals is available only to CSU students, employees and Emeritus Faculty registered with the Library. You will have to provide authentication for access. Part of that process requires the use of a library PIN number.

To get started:

  1. Set up your library PIN. [View the PIN tutorial if necessary.]
  2. Click on the Research Databases button on the home page - located under Collections.
  3. Click on the individual database you want. You will be required to login with your name, CSU ID number, and PIN. The login screen should look like this [link to sample]. If you see something different, then contact the Distance Learning Team for assistance.

Special Note to Graduate Students

To use Interlibrary Loan, electronic journals and databases off-campus, you must be enrolled in a credit course or enroll as a Continuous Registration student. For more information about registration options, contact the Graduate Office at 970-491-6817.
