Information for Community Users

Get a Library Card

To get an official library identification card, community borrowers must fill out an application form and provide valid forms of ID that demonstrate Colorado residency. Application forms are available at the Loan & Reserve Desk in Morgan Library.

Valid forms of ID to present with library card application:

  • Current Colorado Driver's License or State ID
  • Valid Passport
  • Valid U.S. Military ID
  • Other valid State issued Driver's License accompanied by proof of local residency with your name; a utility bill, or signed lease agreement

Your ID/CSU library card is for you and only you. Do not lend your card to anyone else because you are responsible for whatever books are checked out to your card. Cards are non-transferable. Your library card is good for one year and must be renewed in person upon expiration.

Minors (under 18 years old) who are in the 6th grade or above may apply for a card with parental/guardian co-signature.

For more information, see Access Services - Library Cards.
