Library Catalog (Sage)

Question:

I found what I want in the Library Catalog (Sage), but it has a weird STATUS. What does this mean?

  • Check Shelves
  • Due 00/00/00
  • Due 00/00/00, Billed
  • At Bindery
  • On order
  • Recd (In Process)

Answer:

See the table below for an explanation of common Library Catalog (Sage) statuses:

Status   Explanation
Check Shelves   Item is probably on the shelf at the call number and location given. It literally means you should check the shelf.
Due 00/00/00   Item is checked out and due on the date listed. Use the Request button to recall it sooner.
Due 00/00/00, Billed   Item was due on the date listed. The person who borrowed it has been billed for its replacement..
At Bindery   Item is being bound off site. Interlibrary Loan staff can help you get an article which is being bound. Interlibrary Loan can also help you with books and other materials.
Available   Item is not checked out and can be found at the LOCATION given in the Library Catalog (Sage) record.
On order    Item is still on order. You can request RUSH cataloging by providing Information Desk personnel with the citation and where you can be notified when the item arrives.
Recd (In Process)    Item has been received. Fill out the "Request for Uncataloged Book" at any Libraries service point.
