Question:
I'm trying to find journal articles on a topic, but I can't find any in the Library Catalog (Sage). All I get are books or the names of journals. How do I find articles?
Answer:
The Library Catalog (Sage) does not index individual articles within journals. Consult our Research Guides web page to find online and printed materials for your topic. Subject Librarians or Information Desk staff will help you select the right Research Database for your topic. Some databases contain full text of articles, though most do not. While searching databases without full text, use the FindIt (SFX) link to find full text elsewhere, check the Library Catalog (Sage) to see if the Libraries owns the journal, or request it through Interlibrary Loan. (If the database you're using doesn't have FindIt (SFX) enabled, use the Find Journals locator.)
