Academic Search Premier (date coverage varies by title) large database with subject specific and general/interdisciplinary sources on a broad range of topics. Includes images and a number of full text publications in text-only format or PDF format.

Art Abstracts (1984-present) includes over 417,000 records from over 400 leading art publications from around the world. Indexes major English-language periodicals, yearbooks, and museum bulletins, as well as European periodicals in a number of different languages. Various formats are included, such as bibliographies, notices of competitions and awards, reports of conferences, exhibition listings, review articles, interviews, and film reviews. Allows image searching, but provides a citation only to the publication which contains the image. The print version (1929-1998) is available in REF SOUTH at Z5937 .A78.

Arts & Humanities Citation Index: (1975- ) Provides citations to scholarly journal articles, reviews, and meeting abstracts in art, classics, literature, philosophy, religion and related subjects. Links are available to find authors who have cited a particular article via a "Cited Reference" search. Can be searched simultaneously with the Arts & Humanties and the Science Citation Indexes via Web of Science.

Biography and Geneaology MasterIndex (updated biannually) comprehensive index to 12 million biographical sketches which can be found in varous reference sources. Check Morgan Library holdings for call numbers to these individual sources.

Biography Index (1984- ) scans 2,700 journals and 1,800 books on a regular basis. A good source to get information on a specific artist.

Art Online (updates vary) online version of the monumental 36-volume print version with encyclopedia-like entries to major periods and themes in the history of art; includes over 41,000 articles, news, external Web links, a hyperlinked aphabetical index and the Bridgeman Art Library. Bridgeman contains over 100,000 images of works in situ, architectural works, paintings and other museum holdings. All articles are full text.

Handbook of Latin American Studies (1935-present) a bibliographic database with citations to major publications in Latin American language, history, literature, art archaeology and politics mainly culled from journals and select books.

Humanities International Index (Varies) indexes journals, books and other important reference sources in the humanities. There are citations and abstracts for articles, essays and reviews, as well as original creative works including poems, fiction, photographs, paintings and illustrations. It includes over 2,000 titles and contains more than 2 million records.

Left Index (1990-present) indexes major publications in Art, Law, Politics, Sociology, Women's Studies and interdisciplinary areas. Updates are done quarterly.

LexisNexis Academic (Updated daily) extensive full text coverage of national and international newspapers, magazines and a select number of journals. More than 5,000 publications indexed in areas such as news, financial, medical, legal and general reference information. The majority of the sources are in English with a select number in Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Dutch. Provides up to date information such as art news, exhibition reviews and book reviews. Select "News," then "Arts & Sports" for book reviews (includes New York Times Book Reviews). Exhibition reviews are easiest to locate in the "Major Papers" section of the "News."
