7 S. Broadway
The hi-dive is, well, kind of a dive, but only in the best way. Where else can you get within feet of the Cold War Kids? While the music room is long and narrow, the drinks are good and the music is great. You can even eat next door at Sputnik, the hi-dive's restaurant, before the show: Sputnik

Parks

One trait that can be said to be common to most, if not all, Coloradans is a love of nature and open space. Thus, within fairly easy access of downtown Denver are parks ranging from pleasant neighborhod parks to world famous national parks.

Denver Parks are scattered throughout city neighborhoods. Even business focused downtown has not been ignored. Skyline Park runs along Arapahoe St, from 16th to 18th, just north of the Convention Center. Further north and west, where Cherry Creek and the South Platte River meet, lies Confluence Park, in the middle of several parks along the riverfront.

If you are looking for a bigger park experience, there are several mountain, county, and state parks within an easy drive of downtown. For more details, see our section on Open Space and Parks under Travel.
