Frequently Asked Questions

When will my thesis/dissertation be bound and the information entered on SAGE, the Libraries' online catalog?

Libraries' staff begin processing your thesis or dissertation after an official graduation list is received from the Graduate School four to six weeks after your graduation date.  Binding, cataloging, and filming (if a dissertation) are completed by the end of the following semester.  For example, if you graduated with the Fall 2002 class in December, your thesis or dissertation was bound, cataloged and on the Libraries' shelves by the end of the Spring 2003 semester.

Will you bind copies of my thesis or dissertation for my personal use?

Sorry, we cannot bind personal copies, but if you contact our office we can give you information about commercial binders that will do the binding for you.

When will the issue of a journal that I need for my research be back from the bindery?

Journals that show the status "At Bindery" on SAGE have been sent to a commercial bindery to be made into a hardcover volume.  It takes four weeks from the time a journal leaves the building until it is returned bound.  Students, staff and faculty of CSU can request items that are temporarily unavailable from Interlibrary Loan.
