How to Download Digital Images

Logon to LTS Developers' Workstation as Olympus User

  1. Enter olympus for user name
  2. No Password is required
  3. NOTE: With this account, you can only access the X and T Drives.
    You will not be able to locate your personal subdirectories and will need a three stage process for saving to your personal folder.
    1. to a general Save folder on the X or T Drive.
    2. When back at your personal workstation retrieve these files on X or T Drive and place them in the original desired destination folder.
    3. Delete Images in the general folder (if required).

Connect the Camera to the Computer

  1. Turn the camera on by opening the lens
  2. Open side flap in lower corner
  3. Plug computer cord into the smallest hole of the three

Opening Olympus Software

  1. Open on your Desktop the Shortcut to Olympus Camedia Master
    or
  1. Go to the Start menu then Programs find Olympus Camedia Master
  2. Open (click) Camedia Master 1.0

Download/Previewing Images

  1. Open (double click) My Camera (screen left, ½ way down)
  2. Click on image to enlarge for better viewing

Moving Images to the Desired folder

  1. Find the folder that will hold your images in the directory structure in the upper left corner of the screen (remember you are limited where you can save here)
  2. Once destination is found Drag and Drop images into this folder
  3. NOTE: This only works while your looking at the image as a thumbnail, hence you cannot Drag and Drop images when enlarged.
  4. To Drag and Drop multiple images at once, hold the control key down and click on the desired images then Drag and Drop into folder (may take several minutes to download multiple images)

Finish

  1. Delete images from the camera
    1. Open My Camera
    2. Select desired image you want to delete as a thumbnail
    3. Press the Delete Key on your keyboard
  2. (repeat steps A and B until all your images are deleted)
  3. Close Olympus Software Window
  4. Unplug cord from camera and close camera lens for camera power shut off
  5. Logoff workstation (as olympus user)
