Z39.50
"Z39.50" refers to the International Standard, ISO 23950: "Information Retrieval (Z39.50): Application Service Definition and Protocol Specification", and to ANSI/NISO Z39.50. The standard specifies a client/server-based protocol for searching and retrieving information from remote databases.

Z-GROUP
Dean's Management group. An advisory body to the DEAN of Libraries.  Membership consists of DEAN, ASSISTANT DEANS for ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES, TECHNICAL SERVICES, PUBLIC SERVICES, DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT and DIRECTOR OF FISCAL SERVICES.
ZIP DISK
Floppy disk that can store either 100, 250 or 750 MB of data, depending on the ZIP DRIVE compatability.
ZIP DRIVE
A high-capacity floppy disk drive developed by Iomega Corporation. Zip disks are slightly larger than conventional floppy
disks, and about twice as thick. They can hold 100, 250, or 750 MB of data. Because they're relatively inexpensive and durable, they
have become a popular media for backing up hard disks and for transporting large files.
ZOOM TEXT
A screen enlarging program that enlarges the computer image up to 16X the original size. The user can choose to enlarge the entire screen or portions of the screen. Available in the ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY room and in the Morgan Library Computer Lab.
