When accounting staff "post" payfiles, INNOPAC updates the fund files, the order records, Payment History file, and the vendor file.PC (PERSONAL COMPUTER) Short for personal computer or IBM PC and is a small, relatively inexpensive computer designed for an individual user. Peer-reviewed journals are an excellent example of SCHOLARLY SOURCES of information. Publication that is issued at regular intervals two or more times a year and which contains articles on various subjects. Intended to continue indefinitely. Usually denotes a "magazine;" e.g. Time.PERIODICAL INDEX 1. Generic term is used loosely to describe items, both bound and unbound (the latter generally of a cumulative nature) that are undergoing processing in the TECHNICAL SERVICES DIVISION.PIN A password created by users of the SAGE system. The primary use is to place a position in the proper classification and pay level.POSTER COLLECTION See INTERNATIONAL POSTER COLLECTION .PREPAY Payment in advance of receipt of ordered item.PREPRINT 1. Printing issued in advance of book or periodical publication. 2. When you enter a PURL in a browser, the browser sends the page request to a PURL server which then returns the real URL of the page. PURLs are persistent because once a PURL is established, it never needs to change. The real address of the web page may change but the PURL remains the same.
