ALA World Encyclopedia of Library and Information Services.  Chicago:  American Library Association, 1980.

Designed as an encyclopedia rather than a dictionary, this volume nevertheless provides useful  definitions of at least some terms.  The index is printed in the margins rather than at the end.

Harrod, Leonard M.  Harrod's Librarians' Glossary of Terms Used in Librarianship, Documentation and the Book Crafts, and Reference Book.  6th ed.  Aldershot, Hants:  Gower, 1987

 This book displays a British influence, but does define many terms used in American libraries.  In  addition to the usual "A to Z" listing of definitions, and Appendix lists terms by subject field:   "Bibliography," "Classification," "Information retrieval," etc.

Contains definitions of some 1800 terms used in book publishing, book manufacturing, bookselling,  the antiquarian trade and librarianship.
