This first Web version was published in July 1999.  It includes links to official Libraries' Web pages and outside Web sites as appropriate.

Audience
Library Lingo was created primarily to help library staff with their work at Colorado State University Libraries. Library users may prefer the brief Glossary of Library Terms created by Reference Librarian Naomi Lederer.

Authors and Publishing History
First published in 1994, Library Lingo was substantially revised and updated in a 1999 edition. In 2003, Library Lingo was again substantially revised and updated by the Library Lingo Committee (Sarah Myers - Chair, Judy Smith and Diana Wess).
