The research projects featured on this site are submissions to the ISTeC Student Research Poster Contest. All contest entries showcase the work of students involved in research related to any aspect of Information Science and Technology (IS&T). ISTeC defines IS&T as the design and innovative application of computer, communication, and information systems. Such systems can be used in any application area, including biology, meteorology, and the social sciences, as well as more traditional IS&T areas such as computer science and engineering.
The Contest
This contest coincides with the Fall meeting of ISTeC's Industrial Advisory Committee (IAC), which is composed of representatives from IS&T companies from the Front Range and around the world. All posters are viewed and judged by the Committee, which also selects the winners.
The posters were judged according to the following criteria:
- Technical clarity for a general audience
- Innovativeness of the research
- Quality of presentation
- Breadth of the research's impact
