Research in the Information Age

LI301: Research in the Information Age is a one-credit class offered by CSU Libraries. This course is currently on hiatus, but two-sections were formerly offered each semester. Course Objectives include:

  • Learn to formulate a manageable research topic.
  • Know where to go to find information and how to discern the differences among
    information resources.
  • Construct and implement an efficient and effective search strategy.
  • Evaluate the suitability and credibility of a particular source.
  • Establish flexible research skills that can be adapted to any discipline.
  • Build a foundation of research skills that can evolve as technology progresses.
