Canon DR-5080C High-Speed Scanner: up to 53 pages per minute scanning capability. Can be used with WYNN or Read & Write for rapid scanning of items.
Variable Speed Tape Player: specially adapted and capable of playing four-track, 15/16 i.p.s. cassettes. Individuals can adjust the playback speed and still hear clearly. Used for Books on Tape (accessed through Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic - RFB&D). Useful for students with visual impairments and students with specific learning disabilities requiring textbooks on tape.
TTY/TDD: Teletypewriter or Telecommunications Device for the Deaf allow two-way text conversation over a telephone line.
SmartView 8000: video magnifier that allows the visually impaired to enlarge objects, actions and text onto the computer monitor. The background and text color may be changed to enhance readability. A split screen option allows the user to display images and computer images independently or at the same time, either vertically or horizontally.
