How to Find Articles in Journals & Magazines

The following explains the five-step process used to find articles in journals and magazines. These steps apply in every library. Follow these steps in sequence and, if necessary, ask for help at the Help Desk.

• Step 1: Select an Index

• Step 2: Search for the Topic

• Step 3: Interpret the Information in the Index

• Step 4: Determine if the Library Owns the Journal

• Step 5: Locate the Journal
