New CSU Identification Cards (CSUID)
New Colorado State University ID (CSUID) comply with State and federal laws banning the use of Social Security numbers (SSNs) as primary system identifiers. The University has created unique numbers to comply with these laws and provide added protection to your identity information.
To find your CSUID number on your card, locate the red-highlighted box on the example to the right. CSUID numbers for students/faculty/staff begin with the number "8" and contain 9 numbers:

Community Borrowers: Your CSU ID begins with the letters CSU followed by 6 numbers. Enter the entire string into the CSU ID field (e.g., CSU123456 )
