COMMENT RECEIVED 03-13-2007:
Why have the group study rooms become such pig sties? Particulary those in the basement - look like it's been quite a while since they have been vacuumed, or the table tops cleaned. I know, I know it is asking a LOT of college students to pick up after themselves, but all the crumbs and pizza boxes have become a little disgusting! Also, why so many chairs in most of the rooms? Most look like relics from the 60's if they are not broken.
RESPONSE:
Thank you for your recent input on the study rooms via our suggestion box.
I will inform the custodial supervisors who oversee the building and ask them if the group study rooms can be given more attention with regard to cleaning, emptying trash, etc.
Later this year, we hope to be purchasing new furniture (tables and chairs) for Morgan. This will help with some of the outdated furniture you see. Typically we do not get rid of any furniture unless it is broken and/or poses some safety hazard. We will check the study room furniture in case we have overlooked such items. Otherwise, furniture is at such a premium, we want to have it available for the times of the semester when our occupancy increases.Jim Farmer, CSU Libraries’ Building Proctor
Thanks again for your input,
