This is my first time back since graduating a couple of years ago, and I have noticed how horrible the stacks situation is. Books in make-shift locations, tightly shelved books, and the library as a whole just looks bad. Now, I see there is a change by relocating tables which are very close to one another. Embarrassed alumni
RESPONSE:
The Morgan Library is in the process of Phase I of three phase redesign.
We are currently moving collections and furniture around to accommodate student research and computer use. We will also be building more group study space. We hope to have much of the work completed by the start of the fall semester, however some of the furniture and collection moves will extend into the semester. The three phase Morgan redesign will also address the limited space available for our growing collections.
Please don't hesitate to provide us with specific areas that need attention by our shelving crew, or contact the Information or Loan and Reserve Desk staff if you are not able to locate material in the Morgan Library.
