COMMENT RECEIVED on 5-1-2006: A number of our (College of Business) students use the library frequently and have difficulty connecting to our virtual lab from the library. To use it, students click on links provided on our website that uses an ActiveX control to create a connection. Students can create a connection through the RDP option in the start menu of the library computers, but a majority of students do not know how to do this. If possible, we ask that the ActiveX control for our website be installed so students can easily create connections to our virtual lab. The link students connect through is http://elab.business.colostate.edu.
RESPONSE: Lindsey Wess, Electronic Information Center Manager, looked into this and the elab remote is now working on the Library´s public computers.
COMMENT RECEIVED on 5-2-2006: I´ve noticed that often the area with scanners is full. This would be OK except I´ve also noticed that most of the people at the scanners during busy times are not using the scanners but only the computer. I´ve noticed enough to know they had no intention of using the scanner at any time during their time there. I know you can´t keep your eye on that area but perhaps a sign saying "Do not use these computers unless you are using scanners" might stop enough of them so that when I really really really need a scanner there isn´t some kid checking his porn sites sitting there.
RESPONSE: Users who require scanning resources do have priority on all Electronic Information Center scanning stations. Signs have been posted on all scanning station monitors to reflect this policy. Please ask EIC staff for assistance with this if the situation occurs again.

COMMENT RECEIVED on 5-2-2006: I borrowed a book that was recalled when it´s checked out, while I didn´t aware. Only after the due date I was noticed by your email warning system. Could you please update your email warning system for this situation? Thank you!
RESPONSE: Thank you for writing. Your situation sounds very unique to you and it would help to know more details in order to diagnose what happened. Please call our Billing Technician at 491-1122 whenever you have questions about bills and fines. Thank you.

COMMENT RECEIVED on 5-8-2006: I recently visited the http://lib.colostate.edu/research/hortlandarch/ page and I want to suggest a new site in the [Agriculture] section. Title: EliteFarmer.com. URL: http://www.elitefarmer.com/. Description: Aims to disseminate information of use to people with small farms or rural property. Topics include agriculture, gardening, farming and much more. Most documents are in .pdf format.
RESPONSE: Thank you for your interest in our Web site. Your suggestion has been forwarded to the Library´s Agriculture Librarian who will review this for possible addition to the agriculture resources she has mounted for the university community.
COMMENT RECEIVED on 5-20-2006: Thanks muchly to Lori for helping find some very much needed research materials. I had checked with two libraries in Cheyenne and the Library on Olive Street with no avail. She was very determined, consistent and attentive when we discovered the right terminology.
RESPONSE: Thank you for letting us know how helpful Lori is. She is a wonderful librarian and we very much appreciate her work at our Reference Desk. Your compliment has been forwarded to her supervisor and Library Administration.
COMMENT RECEIVED on 5-23-2006: I have been charged something by the library, which is $70 today. I paid the overduing of PCs I used before so since then I have returned laptop PCs until the duetime. What kind of this charge? Let me know the detail, please. If PC overdue, let me know the dates, please.
RESPONSE: Your request has been forwarded to our Access Services Department since staff there handle these types of concerns. Someone from that unit will get back to us right away so this situation can be resolved.
