COMMENT RECEIVED 8-2-2006: My comment concerns the new library website. I feel that the new layout is not as user friendly as the previous one. Perhaps there is some adjustment on my part necessary. However, it did take me a considerable amount of time to figure out how to access my account information, i.e. checkout record, etc. I hope this is useful information.
RESPONSE: Thank you very much for your comments on our new web site. We have forwarded your message to the Libraries’ Web team for consideration.
COMMENT RECEIVED (No Date): Upgrade to the newest Real Player. Also, the Real Player will not work on the graphics machines - machines that have scanners and Adobe’s CS installed. This is a problem for me. I like using shoutcast.com, but it will not work on those machines because of admin controls, profile, etc.
RESPONSE: Thank you for your suggestion. At the beginning of this semester we did upgrade to the newest version of Real Player, Real Player 10. It has not been upgraded on the scanning stations yet because we are waiting on software for our new scanner machines. Look for these in the EIC soon.

COMMENT RECEIVED (No Date): Maybe install Dreamweaver on the graphics machines so the web design environment is together. The lab with Dreamweaver is often locked – I know there is GoLive with CS, but Dreamweaver is better. Thank you.
RESPONSE: Thank you for your suggestions. We are in the process of rebuilding our scanner machines for the semester while upgrading their software and that will include Dreamweaver. In the meantime, if you need access to the lab (EIL1) that has Dreamweaver, as long as there isn't a class in session, we will unlock it for you. Just ask at the EIC Assistance Desk. Look for this change to happen in the next few weeks.

COMMENT RECEIVED on 8-23-2006: There is a book that seems too moldy to be on the shelves. It is clearly a water damaged book that has been recycled into use, but maybe it shouldn't be. I wanted to read it, but I decided not to because of its condition. The call number is: JA80 .S596 1997; the author is: Albert Somit; the title is: Darwinism, dominance, and democracy.
RESPONSE: Thanks for submitting this message again and it is definitely something we need to know about. I'm copying your comments to Diane Lunde, our Preservation Coordinator, because her unit handles these situations.
We sincerely appreciate your interest and concern!
COMMENT RECEIVED on 8-25-2006: As a visiting grad student from EMU, I was anxious to find the journals that my own university did not have and apparently could not borrow. I was ably and patiently assisted by Anne Macdonald, who spent a good bit of time unraveling the mystery of where the alleged journals were shelved. Two of six were there, the rest were missing but seemingly unaccounted for. Eventually, she found one more so my 150 mile journey from my vacation spot was not totally in vain. When Anne left her duty, she asked Diana Wess to step in to help me. This she did and I am very grateful for the professional response I received as a visitor. I am a former OT student at CSU (many years ago) and am proud that this sort of regard for “visitors” is demonstrated. P.S. The journal in question is Journal of Therapeutic Horticulture. Thanks.
RESPONSE: Thank you very much for taking the time to let us know how helpful Anne Macdonald and Diana Wess were. We very much appreciate their thorough work and impressive service orientation at our Reference Desk and I am very happy to know how much they assisted you. It is great to know that you appreciate them too.
