Search Tips for CONTENTdm

Search terms are not case-sensitive. "Village" is the same as "village".

Use the asterisk wildcard "*" at the end of a character string to match more than one keyword. For example, "German*" will match "German", "Germans", and "Germany". Using the wildcard at the beginning or in the middle of a string will treat the asterisk as part of the string, not as a wildcard ("Ger*y" will not match "Germany", only the literal string "Ger*y").

Entering multiple words will find every item that uses all the words somewhere in its metadata. For example, if you enter "Burkard" and "village", you will find the oral history audio excerpt by Mrs. Anna K. Burkard ("Burkard" in the author field) where she discusses village life in Russia ("village" in the title field).
