Steve Schulte is Professor of History at Mesa State College in Grand Junction. He is the author of Wayne Aspinall and the Shaping of the American West (University Press of Colorado, 2002). He is presently working on a study of Colorado's Twentieth Century Water Wars between the Eastern and Western Slopes. Dr. Schute spent two wonderful years on the CSU campus earning an MA in history in 1979 .
