Jo EvansJo Evans earned an MS from the University of California and BS cum laude from the University of Southern California. For over 20 years Evans was an independent contract lobbyist specializing in environmental issues at the Colorado General Assembly. She has represented state and local governments, professional associations, and most of the state's conservation community. Evans was also a consultant to the Colorado Department of Natural Resources, State Parks, and the Division of Wildlife. In 1993 she coordinated the Governor's Wildlife Conference. She served on numerous state water task forces and 3 consecutive terms on the Colorado Emergency Preparedness Commission.

Evans is a frequent lecturer on environmental issues and recently wrote a layman’s synopsis of Colorado Water Law. She is currently President of the Silver Trout Foundation, a Director of Colorado Trout Unlimited, and a Board Member of Denver Audubon.
