Sweet Water Station

Sweet Water Station was located north of the Sweetwater River and south of the telegraph and Emigrant-Overland Route, near Independence Rock and the Sweetwater River crossing on the Oregon Trail. This site was used as both a stage and Pony Express Station and as a post for the protection of emigrants.
