Students learn in vastly different ways. This week's tip addresses that concern - specifically, it suggests ways to take your teaching from one-dimensional (the "sage on the stage" approach) to three-dimensional by incorporating student participation, modeling, and group activities (among others). Once again, EDUCAUSE has released their annual list of the top learning and teaching challenges in higher education. For 2009, top challenges include "Creating 21st-century literacies among students and faculty" (including information literacy) and "Advancing innovation in teaching and learning (with technology) in an era of budget cuts."
