Life After Death by PowerPoint!

Greetings everyone -
Welcome to the fall semester! For those of you who may not know it, I am the Libraries' coordinator for our Master Teacher Initiative. In a nutshell, the primary mission of the Master Teacher Initiative (MTI) is to enhance the quality of teaching within the Libraries. I hope that our program also helps to inform Libraries faculty and staff about issues related to teaching and learning that are affecting the larger university community.

Each week I'll be posting a Master Teacher Tip of the Week, and will also coordinate three workshops over the course of the semester that will meet at the noon hour (lunch is provided). I've attached a schedule of upcoming workshops to this note; individual workshops will be announced in advance and I will collect RSVPs. Our first presentation will be on Thursday, September 13 - Mike Palmquist will be discussing "Plagiatism: What It Is, Why It Happens, and How To Prevent It." I hope you can join us at that event - please RSVP to me by Sept. 7.

I'd like to start our Master Teacher Tip of the Week series on a light note. For those of you who teach with PowerPoint, or use it in presentations, the following YouTube clip will be refreshing:
