New Russia and Soviet Union History Web Page

A brand new history Web page is now available: Russia and Soviet Union History 18th C-present. Find titles of useful books, terms to find additional books in the library catalog (and other library catalogs), recommended indexes and databases, journals, Web sites that cover the topic, and links to an online book collection as well as selected articles. Materials emphasize nation and empire aspects of Russia and Soviet Union history. Don't forget to evaluate whatever you find, be it a book, article, or Web page.

Ethnic Studies: New Web Page

There is a new Web page, created for one of CSU's newest departments! Ethnic Studies lists useful dictionaries and encyclopedias; abstracts and indexes (databases); ethnic studies journals owned by the library; research guides; and Web pages/sites with bibliographies, links to ethnic studies pages, programs, and names of newspapers. Find a journal or two to browse (several available online to CSU affiliates) and find out what is being published in this research area!

Recent New & Updated Web Pages

A new Web page, Rhetorics of Resistance and Change, is up. The page has definitions, a plug for the upcoming international poster exhibit (at CSU), books, recommended databases for identifying articles, and links to Web pages sorted by: Alternative Education; Prison Industrial Complex; NISP/Glade; Oakland Ebonics Debate; and Electronic Languages (IM, Texting, Twitter). It is linked off of the English Language & Literature site. Freshly updated with links to various groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo is the Art in Sub-Saharan Africa page. Find links that have photos with descriptions of the Azande, Kuba, Mangbetu, Pende, Songye, Suku, and Yaka. Art in Sub-Saharan Africa is linked off of the Art Resources site.
