Dictionary of Art is now Art Online. It still includes Grove Art Online, The Oxford Companion to Western Art, Encyclopedia of Aesthetics, and The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art Terms for definitions and information about artists, art, etc. Searching is different, however. Search All Content, Biographies, Subject Entries, or Images. Or browse A-Z. There are currently 5450 images, all from Grove Art Online, so the number of images available is greatly reduced from the previous version of this database. Nevertheless, it looks as if the Bridgeman Art Library is available directly online, so those images may still be found at http://www.bridgeman.co.uk/. A growing number of museums have images online as well. For links to some of the larger museums, see Goddesses.
