Economic Gardening

While not new, economic gardening programs are cropping up around the country. Begun in Littleton, Colorado in 1987, economic gardening programs are beginning to be offered in communities such as Longmont, Loveland, and others around the country. These programs often work in conjunction with local small business development offices and chambers of commerce to provide local businesses with assistance and resources to aid them in their success. The Littleton website provides a good overview of how Economic Gardening got started.
