Overview
The BANR Blog focuses on library news and information of interest to faculty, staff and students in the biological sciences, agriculture, and natural resources at Colorado State University. The CSU librarian contributing to the blog monitors a variety of sites and resources in order to distill items of interest.
Beginning in Fall 2009 the scope and focus of BANR has changed. Although other Websites and blogs will be tracked, the focus of BANR posts will be on CSU Library resources, changes in those resources, research tips/tricks, and information which is "hyper local" and of direct interest to the CSU campus and community.
When BANR was first launched in 2006, the focus and sites monitored were as follows:

In general sites we monitor include the following:

-- U.S. Federal Government agency sites related to biology, agriculture, and natural resources
-- Selected Open Access (OA) or scholarly communication sites

-- Selected science library and research listservs
Sites we do not monitor include:
Individual societies or organizations, the list would be daunting
Science policy or specific scientific legislation sites
