Chelsea Weiskerger: “Alright! So what’s your name?”
Jessica Trytek: “Jessica Trytek.”
Chelsea Weiskerger: “So, when did we first meet?”
Jessica Trytek: “Sixth grade, Ms. Thatcher’s class.”
Chelsea Weiskerger: “Oh, yeah.”
Jessica Trytek: “I forgot which class it was, but remember sitting there. I asked you to be dorm mates for Outdoor Ed.”

Chelsea Weiskerger: “Oh, yeah. And then I was not a dorm mate. It turned out differently. I remember that because I was like, 10 minutes late to class. I was like ‘Oh, God!’ And then we had some crazy friends that brought us closer together. That was pretty funny.”
Jessica Trytek: “Like Sasha and Randy. Interesting.”

Chelsea Weiskerger: “Yep. But that was all middle-school, so, whatever. That was middle-school and this is today, which is August 18th, 2006. Two days before we start our Freshman year of college. So, speaking of college, why are you hear at CSU?”
Jessica Trytek: “A lot of people have been telling me since sixth grade that—Cause I’ve wanted to be a vet for the longest time—So, they were like ‘CSU’s the best school.”

Chelsea Weiskerger: “Cool. Do you like it here?”
Jessica Trytek: “Yes, I like it here. It’s clean, everybody’s nice.”

Chelsea Weiskerger: “I like it too. So what do you expect to get from CSU?”
Jessica Trytek: “An education. Yeah, just meet new people, because we’ve been in IB for four years—the same people over and over and over, so…”

Chelsea Weiskerger: “Yep. The same 30 people every single day. So, what did you eat when you first came to campus yesterday.”

Jessica Trytek: “I think it was that salad that we still have.”
Chelsea Weiskerger: “Oh, that salad that’s still in the fridge?”
Jessica Trytek: “Yeah.”

Chelsea Weiskerger: “Was it good?”
Jessica Trytek: “Yeah, it was! I’m still eating it.”

Chelsea Weiskerger: “So so far, what are your impressions of CSU?”
Jessica Trytek: “The first time I was like ‘Oh my gosh, it’s so huge!’ But now I’m ok. The only thing is that I have to walk to class, hopefully they’re right next to each other.”

Chelsea Weiskerger: “Do you miss anything about home yet? Or has it not sunk-in yet?”
Jessica Trytek: “Not yet, because it’s like we only live an hour away.”

Chelsea Weiskerger: “That’s true.”
Jessica Trytek: “But if there’s one thing, it’s just sitting there, at home, with my family. My dad loves debates, so we sit there and debate about everything. That’s one thing that I’m going to miss.”

Chelsea Weiskerger: “Definitely. Me too, because we talked about a lot of stuff.”

Chelsea Weiskerger: “So, if you were thinking 10 years from now, what advise would you give yourself?”
Jessica Trytek: “I have no idea. The one thing that I want to do, like my biggest dream, is to become a vet. Before that I want a family, so, I don’t know. My parents have been telling me: Education first, before kids. They came from Poland while there was still Communism there, and they wouldn’t let you learn everything, so that’s the thing that’s most important to my family—Education. I want to keep that Polish tradition as well so…”

Chelsea Weiskerger: “Definitely! Keep up with it! Stick to it!”
