| Abstract: | Born in 1865, Lydia Wathen was a long time resident of Stout and later Fort Collins, Colorado, who traveled the West extensively as a young child and adult. She married in 1885 and wrote her memoir for her only daughter in 1936 at the age of 71. The collection contains several photocopies both loose and bound of the memoir as well as research materials about her descendents. It is unknown where the handwritten original memoir is located; only the photocopy is known to exist. A paper finding aid is available. | |
