The Records of the Rocky Mountain Sod Growers Association consist primarily of meeting minutes (1973-1977) and routine correspondence and meeting planning (1974-1979). Ongoing concern about vehicle plates for trucks transporting sod is reflected in the files; Association efforts resulted in successful change to regulations so that sod farmers could use farm plates for their trucks. A dinner honoring Herb Gundell, Denver County Extension agent, for his work to ease the watering burden for homeowners and sod growers was given in 1977, with its planning and the testimonial reflected in the records.
