What type of documentation will I receive for tax purposes?

Donors are asked to complete a disavowal form to include with their donation.  The information on the form provides needed details for generating a letter of acknowledgment, which will be mailed to the donor.  If, at the time of donation, the donor provides a valuation for the donation, the Colorado State University Foundation may also issue a receipt at the end of the year.

Why isn't my donation on the shelf?

Not all donations received will be added to the collection.  Only items that are selected and meet the Libraries' criteria for acceptance , will be added to the collection.  Selected items can take up to four months from date of donation until it is available on the shelf.  When donations are received, they are placed on a review shelf for the Libraries' selectors to review.  Depending on the donation date, items can be there for two months.  After they are selected, it could take another one to two months for items to be processed and shelved.
