Cathy Z. Harris, 52, of Fort Collins, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, at her home in Fort Collins. A funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at First United Methodist Church in Fort Collins. Cathy was born May 10, 1949, in Longmont, to Charles and Joann Bemis Zimmerman. She married Kemper A. Harris on Jan. 16, 1971, in Littleton. Catherine grew up in Littleton. She came to Fort Collins to pursue her education and eventually settled in Fort Collins in 1983. She received her bachelor's degree from Colorado State University and worked at the CSU library for 12 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Stephen Ministry. She liked the outdoors, skiing, and backpacking. She enjoyed music and reading, basket weaving, and sewing. Survivors include her husband, Kemper A. Harris of Fort Collins; her mother, Joann Zimmerman of Littleton; a son, Kemper B. Harris of Fort Collins; a daughter, Lea Harris of Fort Collins; and two brothers, William Zimmerman of Denver and Steven Zimmerman of Golden. Her father, Charles Zimmerman, preceded her in death.
