• America's Historical Documents

• Alexis de Tocqueville, Democracy in America
  a project of the American Studies Programs at The University of Virginia, re-contextualizing Alexis de Tocqueville's famous political and cultural analysis of American democracy.

• National Endowment for Democracy
  a private, nonprofit organization created in 1983 to strengthen democratic institutions around the world through nongovernmental efforts. The Endowment is guided by the belief that freedom is a universal human aspiration that can be realized through the development of democratic institutions, procedures, and values.

• American Memory

In commemoration of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 the Colorado State University Libraries is proud to take part in The September Project, a collection of over 700 libraries in all 50 states and many countries worldwide, hosting events to celebrate freedom, democracy and active citizenship. Libraries play a vital role in civic engagement in our society by providing information to citizens and a place to share ideas. CSU Libraries has a commitment to that role.
