GOAL 4: DIVERSITY
The CSU Libraries is an organization that has a diverse faculty and staff. The Libraries collects intellectual resources that reflect diverse scholarship and points of view.
STRATEGY 4.1: Increase diversity in all its forms.
Key Events for Implementation
- Work closely with ARL's Office of Diversity Initiatives to attract a diverse faculty and staff.
- Increase diversity of collections and programming to reflect multiple perspectives.
- Support university diversity initiatives.
- Participate in national efforts to address library workforce issues in the future.
- Increase recruiting of diverse applicant pools.
- Determine if an internship program would be beneficial for CSU's diversity.
Metrics & Measures of Progress
- Invite ARL Diversity Officer to campus to discuss issues. (Deadline: May 9, 2008)
- Document new materials supporting diversity of viewpoints. (Deadline: June 30, 2008)
- Provide support for CSU's diversity conference. (September 2007)
- Support university diversity programs as needed. (Deadline: June 30, 2008)
- Participate in national library workforce studies. (Deadline: June 30, 2008)
- Make a recommendation on the feasibility of an internship program to LPG. (Deadline: June 30, 2008)
